About me

My relationship with music began at an early age, continuing over the years in a specialized context. I first attended the Dinu Lipatti National Music College in Bucharest, studying classical singing and piano. Then, I continued my studies with the music pedagogy department of the National University of Music in Bucharest, and in 2017 I graduated with a Master’s degree in the choral conducting department of the same University.

I started studying jazz and Brazilian music in 2016, under the guidance of several musicians, both in Bucharest and abroad, such as Cătălin Milea, Boglarka Babiczi, Linda Kovacs, Francesca Ajmar, Tito Ranzer, Heidi Kremm.

I had the opportunity to play in various clubs and festivals in Romania and abroad, such as Sibiu Jazz Competition, Jazz in the Park, Bucharest Jazz Competition, Weekend Sessions, Blues in The Garden in Dărmănești and others. I have collaborated with musicians from different countries.

Duo project

In recent years, a good part of my musical activity has been dedicated to the duo project (voice - guitar), in which I sing with Serghei Manaf, with whom I have been bringing on stage for 3 years wonderful songs from the bossa-nova, samba, and some Brazilian popular music genres, of course in a personal interpretation, but with a lot of traditional flavor.

Cristina Radu & Band

Another project I'm happy to be working on is "Cristina Radu & Band", a project I started in 2018. The composition of the band expands from trio to quintet formula and we cover songs from the repertoire of American jazz and Brazilian music, as well as songs from the cafe concert stylistic area.

Among my projects is the single “Broken Mirror”, in the style of new jazz and r&b, with lyrics and melody signed by me, and production by Cătălin Fântâneanu.
