Duetto Musical Class
WE DON't just teach music. We create artists.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Is it necessary for students to have an instrument at home for individual practice?
Yes. To ensure visible and consistent progress from the very first month, students must have access to an instrument at home (an acoustic/digital piano or the appropriate instrument for their course) so they can practise daily between lessons.
2. How can I schedule or reschedule a lesson?
Any request to schedule, change or reschedule a lesson must be made exclusively in writing, by email to the teacher, with the school copied at duettomusicalclass@gmail.com.
For a schedule change to be considered, it must be communicated at least one day in advance, by 6:00 PM. Unannounced absences or cancellations made at short notice cannot be rescheduled and will be charged in accordance with our Rules & Regulations.
3. How does the periodic assessment work, and how do I know the student is making progress?
At Duetto, progress is actively monitored through the Duetto Artistic Portfolio™. Every three months, students and parents receive a detailed Artistic Report™, and three times a year we organize class auditions in front of an audience (Studio Sessions™), giving students the opportunity to perform their repertoire in a friendly and supportive environment.
4, Is participation in the major concerts (Duetto Live™) mandatory?
Participation is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended. It is an essential and integral part of the educational journey, helping students develop self-confidence, expressiveness and genuine stage experience alongside professional musicians.
5. What happens if a teacher cancels a lesson?
If a teacher cancels a scheduled lesson with less than one day’s notice (by 6:00 PM), the lesson must be rescheduled for another day, and the student will also receive a bonus lesson as compensation.
6. How can I enroll in the courses, and what are the next steps?
Admission to the program begins with a demo lesson, which allows us to determine the most suitable educational pathway for each student.
All you need to do is complete the online registration form. You will then be contacted by email to receive the contract and arrange the remaining details.
7. What payment methods are available, and what financial benefits do you offer?
Payment is made to the bank account specified on the invoice.
We offer attractive discounts for advance payments:
5% discount for 3 months paid in advance;
10% discount for 6 months paid in advance;
15% discount for the entire school year paid in advance.
Through our referral program, you can also receive one month free, once the referred student’s subscription payment has been confirmed.
8. What exactly does the Duetto Live™ Stage Experience contribution cover?
The artistic production contribution covers the complete organization of the events, including the rental of the performance venue in Bucharest, live instrumental accompaniment by professional musicians, logistics (sound, lighting, stage design and equipment), two dress rehearsals per concert, artistic management, professional photography and videography, as well as goodie bags, prizes and the opportunity to receive proceeds from ticket sales.
9. What additional costs may arise during the school year?
In addition to the monthly tuition fees and the optional concert contribution, there may be minor additional costs for educational materials (such as textbooks or sheet music recommended by the teacher and purchased separately) or for optional special activities, including workshops, competitions, recordings or artistic camps.
10. How do online lessons work?
Students who choose online lessons follow exactly the same rules regarding attendance, punctuality and communication as students attending in-person lessons. The only difference is that the lessons take place in a digital environment.
A Mutual Commitment
The standards we maintain at Duetto are the result of a partnership built on respect, responsibility and trust.
The rules below are not merely administrative requirements. They are how we protect the time, energy and experience of everyone who chooses to grow with us.
Duetto Community Etiquette & Rules
To maintain our standards of excellence, ensure a safe educational environment and foster mutual respect, our collaboration is based on clear guidelines designed to protect everyone’s time and energy.
- Punctuality: Each lesson lasts exactly 50 minutes. Lessons begin on the hour and finish ten minutes before the following hour. Late arrival by a student does not extend the duration of the lesson. The lesson will still run according to its originally scheduled time.
- Organized Communication: All requests, scheduling and rescheduling must be made exclusively in writing, by email to the teacher, with the school copied at duettomusicalclass@gmail.com. This ensures transparency and helps prevent administrative misunderstandings.
- Respecting the Schedule: Unannounced absences cannot be rescheduled and will be charged. Rescheduling or changing the date or time of a lesson is permitted only in exceptional circumstances and provided that the request is submitted in writing at least one day in advance, by 6:00 PM.
- Financial Commitment: Payment for demo lessons, individual lessons and packages must be made in advance, within 4 days of receiving the invoice by email. Lesson scheduling becomes active as soon as the payment has been registered in our system.
- Respect & Appropriate Attire: Both the stage and the learning environment require professionalism and respect. We expect students to wear appropriate attire (avoiding purely athletic or otherwise unsuitable clothing) and to use respectful and courteous language when interacting with teachers, staff and fellow students.
Duetto Musical Class reserves the right to select its students and to suspend or unilaterally terminate collaborations that do not comply with the values and etiquette of our community.
Every artist was once at their very first lesson.
Whether the goal is personal development, the joy of making music or artistic performance, we want every student who walks through the doors of Duetto to discover a place where they are encouraged to grow, be bold and find their own voice.
Thank you for your trust. We look forward to welcoming you into the Duetto community.
